About the Lipizzaner Association of Sweden (SLF)

Lipizzaner Association of Sweden was founded in 1974 and today we have over 200 members, most of them active. When the Association was first founded the Lipizzaner breed did not yet have a Swedish breeding standard and the first goal was to gain acceptance of the breed in Sweden. This goal was reached in 1986, but already in 1973 the first Swedish Lipizzaner stallion was licensed for breeding.

The Lipizzaner Association's much appreciated magazine is called Capriole and is sent out quarterly to paying members. In Capriole you can read articles about the Lipizzaner horse and various Association activities.

Every second year the association arranges a national Show.
